Visual Thinking

May 12, 2020

THOMAS CURRIE

Thomas Currie is a school teacher in Alberta, Canada currently working with students on how we learn to be creative, resilient, and empathetic designers and storytellers.

Tom believes that by engaging in visual thinking practices students can increase agency and accuracy in the classroom as well as discover their own unique voice.

This might be from how they visually compose a photograph, to how they choose to approach a persuasive essay or a science lab.

He shares artifacts of his practice primarily through Instagram (@dramaticscienceyyc) and can be seen participating in conference back-channels on Twitter (@dramaticscience). Tom recently received a graduate degree in Educational Technology and Design and a commendation for doing a really great job on dinner last night.
